3D MRI / TRUS SOFT ELASTIC FUSION

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in the male population after lung cancer. in our center prostate cancer can be diagnosed with Transrectal or Transperineal targeted biopsies using the method Elastic 3D MR / TRUS SOFT ELASTIC FUSION. This method enables accurate sampling from the suspicious areas alone, after locating them with a  multiparametric prostate magnetic tomography.

The use of the cutting edge navigation system Koelis TRINITY PERINE in combination with the highest level scientific training and specialization of the medical staff of our Department of Prostate Biopsy, distinguish our center as the only one in Greece offering elastic fusion biopsy via transperineal access. This ensures:

• Our compliance with the International trend of replacing the transrectal prostate biopsy (TR-EXIT 2020)
• High accuracy in locating and targeting suspicious areas
• Minimal chance of clinically significant prostate cancer evading detection.
• Providing access to sampling tumors of the anterior part and the apex of the prostate
